Tawa pulao
Tawa pulao is very popular street food of Mumbai. This spicy & simple recipe is prepared using steamed rice, vegetables & pav bhaji masala.

Ingredients
- 2 cup Cooked Rice
- 1 medium Capsicum
- 2 medium Tomato
- 1 medium Onion
- 1 medium Carrot
- 1 medium Potato
- ½ cup Green peas
- ½ tsp Jeera/Cumin
- 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- ¼ tsp Red chilli powder
- ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tsp Pav bhaji masala
- 2 tsp Lemon juice
- 2-3 tsp Oil/Butter
- Chopped coriander leaves to garnish
- Salt to taste

Prep
- Steam or cook carrot, potato & green peas till they are done. Peel the skin & cut carrot & potatoes. Set aside.
- Finely chop capsicum, onion & tomatoes.
Method
- Heat oil/butter in kadai, add jeera & let it sizzle.
- Add chopped onion & sauté till translucent. Then add the Ginger garlic paste, sauté until intense smell of ginger garlic paste is gone.
- Then add finely chopped tomatoes & capsicum. Sauté for a minute.
- Now add all spice powders (turmeric, red chilli & pav bhaji masala), mix well & sauté till mixture start releasing butter/oil from sides.
- Add cooked vegetables & salt to kadai. Mix well & sauté for 2 minutes.
- Then add cooked rice & mix well, cover & cook for 2 more minutes in low minutes.
- Lastly add lemon juice & mix gently.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves & serve hot.
