Soppina Dose | Greens Dose
This dose is very similar to Heerekai/Rich gourd dose which I’ve posted earlier. The only difference here is we use varieties of Soppu/Greens instead of Rich gourd.

Ingredients
- 2 bunch Mixed Greens
- 1¼ cup Dose Rice
- 2 tsp Coriander seeds
- 1 tsp Jeera/Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Channa dal
- 1 tsp Urad dal
- ½ tsp Methi/Fenugreek seeds
- 6-8 Dry red chillies (low spiced)
- 2 tsp Tamarind Pulp
- 2 tsp Jaggery
- Few Curry leaves
- ½ cup Grated coconut
- ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
- ½ tsp Oil & to prepare dose
- Salt to taste
- Water as required

Prep
- Wash & soak rice for 4-5 hours.
- Clean, wash & finely chop Greens. (I use Palak, Methi, Amaranth, Dill & Drumstick leaves)
Method
- Heat a ½ tsp oil in pan, roast channa dal, urad dal, coriander seeds, cumin, methi seeds, dried red chillies, curry leaves, until dal turns golden brown.
- Grind the roasted spices along with grated coconut, jaggery, tamarind pulp & salt to smooth paste.
- To same grinding jar, add soaked rice & grind everything to smooth batter.
- Add finely chopped greens to batter, give a good mix.
- Heat a dose griddle & drizzle few drops of oil.
- Take a ladle full of batter pour it onto the centre of the griddle and spread it to make a circle.
- Sprinkle few drops of oil, cover the dose & cook for a minutes or till its brown.
- Turn the other side of dose and cook for 1 more minute.
- Serve hot Soppina dose with a spoonful of Butter.
