Beetroot Halwa
Beetroot Halwa is a delicious dessert prepared from nutrition rich beetroot and tastes similar to carrot halwa. This will be prepared using minimum ingredients and it consumes very less time.

- 1 big Beetroot or grated beets : 2 cups
- 1 cup Milk
- ½ cup Sugar (adjust as per your taste)
- 2 tbsp. Ghee
- 1 tbsp. Chopped Cashew
- ¼ tsp Cardamom powder

Instructions
- Peel, wash and grate the beetroot.
- Heat 1 tbsp. of ghee in a deep frying pan.
- Add grated beetroot and sauté in medium heat until beetroot is soft.
- Once beetroot is soft, add a cup of milk & let it cook on medium heat by stirring it occasionally.
- Once the milk is reduced (approx. after 10 min), add sugar & continue cooking in medium heat.
- When the halwa is almost dry, add chopped cashew & a tbsp. of ghee, mix well.
- Once water content in mixture is dried, halwa is almost ready.
- At the end add cardamom powder, give a final mix.
- Serve it hot or cold.
