Avalakki Chitranna | Lemon Poha
Lemon Poha is one of the simple and delicious breakfast made of flattered rice. It is a high carbohydrate, low fat & quick meal that can be made in minutes.

Ingredients
- 2 cup Thick Avalakki/Poha
- 1 Onion
- 4 Green chillies
- ½ tsp Mustard seeds
- ½ tsp each Channa & Urad dal
- 1 tbsp. Ground nut
- Few Curry leaves
- ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
- Coriander leaves handful (finely chopped)
- ½ cup Grated coconut
- 1 small Lemon
- 3 tsp Oil
- Salt to taste

Instructions
- Rinse & soak Avalakki/Poha for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in pan, add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add Channa dal, Urad dal & ground nut. Fry until dal turns brown.
- Add curry leaves & green chillies, sauté for few seconds.
- Now add Onions & fry until its translucent.
- Add turmeric powder & salt, mix everything well.
- Drain the excess water from soaked Avalakki/poha & add it to pan.
- Mix well close the lid and cook the poha for 3-4 minutes under medium flame.
- After 4 minutes, add coriander leaves & grated coconut to Avalakki/poha. Give a quick mix and remove from the heat.
- Lastly squeeze juice from a small lemon & add it to Avalakki/Poha. Mix Gently.
- Serve with coconut chutney.
