Akki Rotti | Rice flour flat bread
Akki Rotti is a simple breakfast made with rice flour & onion. They are served with a chutney.

Ingredients
- 2 cup Rice Flour
- 3 medium Onion finely chopped
- 2 Green chilli finely chopped
- ¾ cup Grated coconut
- Handful Coriander leaves finely chopped
- Handful Curry leaves finely chopped
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- Salt to taste
- Water as required

Instructions
- Heat oil in kadai and put mustard seeds let it crackle.
- Then add finely chopped onion and green chilli sauté till onions are translucent. Keep this aside till it comes down to room temperature.
- In a mixing bowl add rice flour, grated coconut, coriander leaves, curry leaves, salt & onion green chilli mixture. Add needed water and combine all these together and prepare soft dough.
- Divide the dough into equal parts. Grease a rotti/dose griddle with oil and keep it ready.
- Take a ball of dough and spread it evenly and as thinly as possible. You can grease your fingers with water to make spreading easier.
- Cook it both sides till it's golden brown.
- You can use butter to cook Akki rotti which gives that extra taste to it.
- Serve hot with your favorite side dish.
Recipe Notes
You can also add, grated carrots or dill leaves/sabsige soppu to dough.
